The 2010 sees the 30th anniversary of the Consorci Sant Gregori.
To mark this special event and in keeping with its strategic objectives, the Consorci Sant Gregori and Fundació Campus Arnau d'Escala are for the first time running this international conference, with a view to presenting the theoretical background and innovative experiences in caring for people with a severe intellectual disability. The core objective of the conference is to spread knowledge of the latest successful theories and practices in stimulation, intervention in behavioural disorders, and in quality of life and social inclusion of people with an intellectual disability who require extensive, generalised support. It has been organised in collaboration with the Regional Government of Catalonia's Department of Social Action and Citizenship, Institut d'Assistència Sanitària (Healthcare Institute), with backing from the Caixa Girona Social Fund.

This conference is aimed at all those involved with this community, particularly in a professional context or in providing direct care.
